The Diverse Faces of Europe

38th Vilenica International Literary Festival

Organized by the Slovenian Writers' Association under the motto “The Diverse Faces of Europe”, the 38th Vilenica International Literary Festival examines the wider issues of our modern world as explored in literature.

The Vilenica Festival, with its guests, writers, and poets, scrutinizes the image we see (what and whom) as we gaze into the face of today’s Europe, as well as the image our future reflects. In addition to the winner of the Vilenica International Literary Prize, the 38th festival will host 18 writers and cultural professionals from more than ten countries, with special focus on the literary scenes of Austria and Germany. The programme, to be held in Lipica, Sežana, Ljubljana, Koper, Hrastnik, Štanjel and Trieste, includes the 21st International Comparative Literature Colloquium. All festival events are free of charge. You are cordially invited to attend.
