Artist Talk with Matej Kejžar

Matej Kejžar’s body of work is characterised by an inspiring, humanistic creative process that connects him not only with himself and his collaborators, but also with his audience. For many years now, we have followed with interest his determination to disentangle choreography as a principle of domination from Dance. “Dance” with a capital D affirms the possibility of moving beyond established mechanisms of control, beyond the limiting and often destructive effects of domination. “No one should rule over anyone,” suggests Kejžar’s Dance.
