Slovenia and Cankarjev dom will host the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC), an international academic competition held in English. Teams of three students will compete in four disciplines: debate, collaborative writing, a multiple-choice knowledge test, and a fast-paced team quiz. A total of 583 scholars and 90 coaches from 22 countries have confirmed their participation.
The World Scholar’s Cup is an annual global academic event, organized since 2006 by the World Scholar’s Cup Foundation, based in Los Angeles. The main goal of the competition is to foster critical thinking and collaboration through interdisciplinary challenges.
The academic program is complemented by a variety of social and cultural activities, including a cultural fair featuring participating countries, a festive flag march, theatrical performances, and informal games and gatherings that encourage international friendships among students from around the world.
