Vlatko Stefanovski Concert

One of the most influential guitarists to emerge from the region, guitar virtuoso Vlatko Stefanovski is renowned for his distinctive fusion of rock, jazz, ethno and classical music. In an intimate concert setting, he will present a musical journey through his remarkable career spanning more than five decades.

The evening will be further enriched by special guests Damir Imeri, Jan Stefanovski and Ivan Kukić, whose performances will add depth and energy to an already unforgettable musical experience.

Born in 1957, Vlatko Stefanovski began his musical path during his high school years and rose to prominence as the founder and lead guitarist of the legendary band Leb i sol. With the group, he recorded thirteen albums and performed on major stages around the world, leaving an indelible mark on the musical history of the region. Leb i sol became synonymous with exceptional musicianship and a highly recognizable sound.

Following the band’s breakup, Stefanovski built an acclaimed solo career. He has released more than fifteen solo albums, composed music for seventeen feature films, three contemporary ballets, and numerous theatre productions. His collaborations include renowned artists such as Miroslav Tadić, Jan Akkerman, Tommy Emmanuel and Stochelo Rosenberg, with a particularly notable highlight being his work with the London Symphony Orchestra.

Throughout his career, he has performed with string ensembles, jazz big bands, symphonic and choral orchestras across the globe, always remaining true to his unmistakable musical voice and his constant curiosity for new artistic directions.

Today, after more than fifty years of professional activity, Vlatko Stefanovski continues to perform with undiminished passion. He is currently working on a new album, writing his memoirs, and regularly touring with his trio, featuring his son Jan Stefanovski and bassist Ivan Kukić.
