PIAF! The Show

The Gallus Hall will come alive with French classics. The original musical stage story celebrating the life of Édith Piaf has had more than a thousand performances in over fifty countries worldwide, and since 2015, more than a million tickets have been sold.
 

The musical Piaf! The Show invites you on a journey through the life of Édith Piaf, long before the world knew her name. This musical performance, presented in two 45-minute segments, offers a musical narrative that transports us to the magical streets of Paris, speaks the language of romantics, and tempts us with the aroma of freshly baked croissants from a nearby bakery. The musical story of the passionate French icon is supported by original scenography, projections, and numerous unpublished photographs from the so-called Piaf era.

Even Piaf's closest friends, such as Germaine Ricord, Ginou Richer, and of course Charles Dumont and Charles Aznavour, have commemorated the performance as "the most beautiful tribute ever created about Édith Piaf's success." The desire of the director and main creator of the musical, Gil Marshall, was driven by the aspiration that "in the eyes of the international audience, France is Paris, Paris is Montmartre, and Montmartre is Édith Piaf. I want to bring the bohemian way of life, the melody, and the emotions that tourists from around the world seek in Paris, to their homes."

In the lead role of the "Parisian Nightingale" or Édith Piaf, French singer and actress Nathalie Lermitte shines. She captivates audiences worldwide with her voice and stage presence. Having performed on stage since early childhood—appearing in her father's rock band at the age of six—she released her first album, Tu es tout ce que j'aime, on her eighteenth birthday, selling nearly half a million copies. The year 1989 marked her first steps into musical comedy. She excelled in various theaters in Paris, often portraying Édith Piaf on stage. In 2018, her voice resonated across the globe as she took on the lead role in the spectacular Piaf! The Show. Just a year later, the production was performed on Broadway, and standing ovations followed it across the world, from Canada, Australia, the USA, Dubai, Europe, to South America.
