Arne Hodalič Dialogues: Eye, Voice, Thought

Evenings blending photography with stories, music, and bold questions

In Slovenian, without translation.

For almost half a century Arne Hodalič has been one of Slovenia's most distinguished photojournalists. Globetrotting with his camera, he has visited almost a hundred countries on all continents, recording stories that might have been overlooked without his photographs.

Hodalič is the co-author of numerous books, the author of a photography monograph, four photography guides and the photo-autobiography Moje svetlobe (2024). He has held around thirty solo and numerous group exhibitions locally and internationally, and his photographs have been published in more than fifty renowned newspapers and magazines worldwide. For a number of years he was the photography editor of the National Geographic magazine (Slovene edition) and a lecturer at three universities.

In a new series of talks with selected guests, Hodalič will show photographs from his most interesting travels and adventures. His guests, renowned researchers, will comment on selected topics from a professional perspective and add another, broader angle to Hodalič’s presentation, which is primarily visual. The new series of talk shows will see Hodalič raising some of the most prominent questions of our time. Rather than classic talks, these will be live dialogues, interspersed with photography, stories and bold questions, given that Hodalič is a passionate explorer, as well as an outspoken advocate for the marginalised and the underprivileged.

Each event will feature music played by young talents.
