Brane Žalar: Details through a Camera Lens
Architectural atmospheres in photography
Throughout the European Public Health Conference, to be held between 26 November and 2 December 2018, some Cankarjev dom premises will be closed to the public. This includes the VIVO Restaurant, the Small Gallery featuring the Details through a Camera Lens exhibition by Brane Žalar, as well as Foyer I showcasing the Designers Society of Slovenia and Art Critics’ Choice exhibitions. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Architect Andrej Hrausky thus commented on the photos selected for the CD exhibition: “Žalar travels to experience other cultures, people and environments. Being an architect, he primarily takes photos of architecture, which provides a backdrop for living rather than being life itself – furnishing a stage on which life takes place. Like cinema and theatre, where scenery represents the location of a scene, architecture creates life’s settings and atmospheres that enable human activity.”
