12th Slovenian Biennial of Illustration
The largest public showing of Slovenian illustration in one place

The central overview of Slovenian illustration, the Biennial unites older and younger generations of illustrators employing diverse artistic methods and rewards their finest achievements with the Hinko Smrekar Award, as well as the Smrekar distinctions and accolades. The 2016 Life Achievement Award goes to Marjan Manček, presentation of his works will be curated by Tatjana Pregl Kobe. For the past forty years Marjan Manček has employed illustration as his main vehicle of expression, infusing it heavily with his signature humour. In cooperation with the Section of Illustrators of the Union of Slovene Fine Arts Associations; catalogue text by Judita Krivec Dragan
